Build the Future of Commerce
The premise is simple. We believe commerce is not in its final form.
VZ Labs has French/Swiss roots, with founders from ETH Zürich and EPFL.
Our mission is to uncover and craft the mechanics through which commerce will be conducted over a 5–10-year horizon, particularly exploring the adjacent possible unlocked by recent AI progress.
We've started working towards this goal by building chātaigne, which provides the infrastructure for restaurants and retailers to sell their products by natural language on any messaging app (WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Tiktok DMs...)
What We Believe
We believe there is a gap between AI models' capabilities and their usefulness in the real world, and that focused energy is needed to bridge it.
We also believe the current online shopping experience is stuck at a local maximum. Commerce is not in its final form, so we pose a broad, open question: will AI change the way people purchase products? If so, how?
From those beliefs, we've found our calling: adding a layer of programmatic intelligence between humanity's favorite interface, language, and commerce infrastructure across verticals.
